1. Job Basics
- Enter the Job title.
- Select the Employee type.
- Choose Salary or Wages/Per unit as the Remuneration type.
- Enter the pay amount in the field that appears:
- For Salary, enter the annual salary.
- For Wages/Per unit, enter the hourly rate. If the worker receives holiday pay as they go, enter the rate inclusive of holiday pay.
2. Schedule & Pay
- Enter Daily contracted hours. This field is required for all employee types except Casual (holiday pay as you go) as it isn’t relevant for them. It determines the employee’s relevant daily pay (RDP) for leave calculations. For example, 8 daily contracted hours x $25 per hour gives an RDP of $200.
- Enter Rostered days on and Rostered days off. These fields are also required for all employee types except Casual (holiday pay as you go). They describe the employee’s working pattern for annual holiday calculations. For example, if an employee works 5 days a week and is entitled to 4 weeks of annual leave each year, that equals 20 annual leave days per year.
- Select the Pay frequency.
- Enter the job’s Start date.
- Check Employer name. It defaults to the name of your AgriSmart licence. Change it if a different employer name should appear on the employment agreement.
3. Location & Access

Use the menus
The menus above the toolbar provide more options:

Add page breaks and tags to an employment agreement
The Employment Agreement editor has two additional features:
- Page break: Place your cursor where the next page should begin, then click the page break button at the end of the toolbar.
- Tags: The Documents panel on the right contains tags for details such as the business name, job title, rate, start date, employee name and signatures. Click a tag to copy it, then paste it where that detail should appear in the agreement. For example, insert
{Job_Title}where the job title should appear. Keep each tag’s spelling, underscores and braces exactly as shown.
You can use {Job_Description} and {Extra_Information} to include content from those sections in the agreement.
