Send wages to Xero

How-to

1. Hover over Payroll then click Reconciliation of net payments to amount paid from the bank.

2. Select the Pay Period then click GO.

3. Note down the Total paid in pay period amount.

4. Check the Variance field and ensure this is zero.

5. Hover over Clients then click Xero NZ Clients Dashboard.

6. Select the Pay Period.

7. The Total Amount Due should match the figure noted down in step 3.

If the figures don’t match, contact Support.

8. Check that all the Account Codes are populated.

9. Click Send to Xero, ensuring the Status remains as Draft.

10. Review & approve the bill in Xero. For help on this, click here.

11. Reconcile the wages payment to the bill. For help on this, click here.

Accounting for manual pays and missed employees

In the event that a manual pay is processed after the wages bill has been sent to Xero, or if an employee was inadvertently left out of the original pay run that has already been sent to Xero, follow the steps below to account for the additional wages paid.

1. Process the manual pay(s) and/or missed wages as normal.

2. Login to Xero and void the original wages bill. For help on this, click here.

3. Follow the process per the How-to section above.
