RSE Sick Leave

As at 01/10/2023, RSE workers will receive 2 days of sick leave on their start date and then 2 additional days on each monthly anniversary for all RSE visas granted after 30/09/2023. These additional 2 days continue until they reach the maximum allowance of 10 days (5 months after their visa grant date).
This change contrasts with the existing method where employees are eligible for the full set of 10 sick leave days only after 6 months of work.

How to: RSE workers

1. Hover on Setup > click on Team Manager:

2. Click on the employee’s name

3. In the General tab, update the RSE worker field to RSE:

4. Enter the RSE Visa grant date:

5. Click Save

If the RSE Visa grant date is prior to 01/10/2023, the system will calculate the employee’s sick leave using the existing method. If the RSE Visa grant date falls on or after 01/10/2023, the system will calculate the employee’s sick leave in compliance with the new structure.

How to: Non-RSE workers

The default setting in the system is non-RSE worker so unless the employee has been updated to an RSE worker, you won’t need to make any changes.

1. Hover on Setup > click on Team Manager:

2. Click on the employee’s name

3. In the General tab, update the RSE worker field to Non-RSE:

4. Click Save

The system will calculate the employee’s sick leave using the existing method.
