File new employee details with IRD

When a new employee is set up, their details must be filed with the IRD. This can be done either through Team Manager or the Payday Filing Dashboard.

Option 1: Team Manager

Use this method to file employee details individually.

1. Once the employee has been set up, go to their Employment Details tab in Team Manager.

2. Click the orange Send to IRD button.

3. Click OK.

Option 2: Payday Filing Dashboard

Use this method to file employee details either individually or in bulk.

1. Once the employee has been set up, navigate to Payroll > IRD Payday Filing and scroll down to Team Members.

2. Click Send Team Member Details.

By default, all employees whose details haven’t been sent to the IRD will be automatically ticked (shown on the far left of the table and highlighted in yellow). This includes any unfiled details, such as new employees or updated employment information like a new tax code. We recommend keeping these employees selected to file this information with the IRD. However, if you do not wish to do so, deselect them using the checkbox on the far left-hand side of the table.

3. The new employee(s) should be automatically selected, but double check to ensure this is the case.

4. Scroll down to the bottom and click Save.

Post-filing process

Once the details have been filed with the IRD, go to Payroll > IRD Payday Filing and scroll down to Team Members. Here, you can see if the submission has been successful or unsuccessful. If successful, no further action is required. If unsuccessful, update the employee’s data in Team Manager based on the error reason provided, then resubmit their details to the IRD.
